TriLinc is pleased to announce that its Director of ESG and Impact, Peter Greenwood, is a candidate running for the board of the Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI). If your organization is a PRI signatory, we kindly ask for your vote!
As noted in Peter’s candidate statement, he brings over 10 years of responsible investment experience in the emerging markets, particularly in private equity and private debt strategies with both TriLinc Global, LLC and U.S. government international development finance agencies. Unique to Peter’s experience is his track record of integrating and executing multidisciplinary ESG analyses and impact measurement strategies into investment processes to further enhance investor and investee company accountability, transparency, and non-financial sustainability.
As an ESG and impact measurement practitioner rather than investment professional, Peter’s election to the PRI board would bring a fresh responsible investment perspective to the PRI by contributing:
- Lessons learned from emerging markets, primarily from Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America;
- Practical and timely sustainability insights from both an investor and investee company perspective; and
- Insights into achieving the balance between rigor, efficiency, and effectiveness in reporting requirements.

The PRI signatory representative at your organization should have received the official ballot from the PRI via email. Voting takes place online, using the instructions within the ballot email from the PRI.
Voting closes on December 4 and results will be announced on December 11.
Peter is running against a field of six other highly qualified candidates, including an incumbent which has extensive responsible investment experience. While TriLinc is of course biased towards Peter’s candidacy, we do want to take a moment and applaud this group of qualified professionals from across the globe and the contributions both they and their respective organizations make to the PRI and the greater responsible investment industry.
