Certified B Corporations 1) meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance; 2) legally expand their corporate responsibilities to include consideration of stakeholder interests; and 3) build a collective voice through the power of the unifying B Corporation brand.
TriLinc Global is a signer of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment. The PRI, launched in 2006, has over 1,000 signatories from 48 countries, including asset owners, money managers and investment service providers who have pledged to incorporate ESG issues into their investment analysis and ownership policy. As a PRI signatory, we commit to being responsive to stakeholders, aware and proactive with regard to ESG issues when it comes to fiduciary responsibility, and determined to advance responsible investment. We also recognize that applying these PRI may better align our investment decisions with the broader objectives of society. We transparently report on our activities to the PRI Secretariat on an annual basis.
The Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) is an independent, global membership association whose mission is to catalyze the development of private equity and venture capital industries in emerging markets. EMPEA’s 300+ member firms share the belief that private equity can provide superior returns to investors, while creating significant value for companies, economies and communities in emerging economies. TriLinc Global CEO Gloria Nelund is a member of the EMPEA Impact Investing Council.
TriLinc Global is a founding member of the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN). The GIIN is the leading non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the scale and effectiveness of impact investing. Impact investments are made into companies, organizations, and funds with the intention to generate measureable social and environmental impact alongside a financial return. Impact investments can be made in both emerging and developed markets, and may target a range of returns from below market to market rate, depending upon the circumstances. Our membership signifies a commitment to deepening our engagement in the impact investing industry.

ANDE is a global network of organizations that invest money and expertise to propel entrepreneurship in emerging markets. Launched in 2009, ANDE is a non-profit, member-driven organization housed within the Aspen Institute. ANDE members are the vanguard of a movement promoting enlightened leadership in small and growing businesses that create economic, environmental and social benefits for developing countries. Ultimately, ANDE seeks to build sustainable prosperity in the developing world.
TriLinc Global is a member of the Investment Program Association (IPA). IPA was formed in 1985 to provide effective national leadership for the direct investment industry. The IPA supports individual investor access to a variety of asset classes not correlated to the traded markets and historically available only to institutional investors. These investments include public non-listed REITs (NLREITs) and Business Development Companies (BDCs), Energy and Equipment Leasing Programs, and private equity offerings. For the last 28 years, the IPA has successfully championed the growth of such products, which have increased in popularity with financial professionals and investors alike. Direct investments are held in the accounts of more than 2 million individual investors, and the IPA’s member companies operate or have properties in all 50 states. The mission of the IPA is advocating direct investments through education.
